Base Game
The game is set across a 7x7 grid and like its predecessor pays on scatter wins with tumbling reels filling any spaces made by a win. The symbols carry over from the original Golden Glyph but have any updated visual style, ranging from low paying snake symbols and ankhs to the premium Pharaoh symbols. Each win will award a power glyph which acts as a wild replacing any symbol except the bonus and upon these power symbols landing a win will trigger a feature displayed at the bottom off the game grid these are as follows.
Gigantic Wild - Spawn a gigantic wild on the game grid
Golden Scarab - Spawns between 4 and 11 wilds randomly on the play area
Pattern Of Horus - removes symbols in a pre determined pattern based on their shape and there are 6 of these. Cross, Ankh, Bird, Eye, Hourglass and Snake (below we have included a picture of the bird pattern being deleted)
Bonus Game
There are three bonus scatter symbols shown as pyramids that upon landing will award the player with 7 free spins, landing three more of these in the bonus will go on to award you with an additional 5 free spins. A Golden Glyph symbol is awarded in the first spin which acts as a wild with each successive win increasing its overall multiplier. Wins much like in the base game will unlock a power glyph with a successive win inclusive off this symbol awarding a random feature. Genius Gambling Review
We were always big fans off the original Golden Glyph and its sequel boasts not only updated graphics but also a stunning soundtrack and additional features! It's base game and bonus were outstanding and kept us interested and entertained from start to finish. However Golden Glyph 2 has within both its base game and bonus game 6 different "Pattern Of Horus" features that remove symbols and be warned it will often feel like these are working against you, preventing wins rather than helping to award them. This is always a slight annoyance with these cluster style features however having 6 that each follow a similar removal style becomes quite tedious especially as you will find they typically remove the exact symbols you need to land a big win. This was also a problem that many players found plagued the original however for us it wasn't a deal breaker but definitely something to be aware off. Interestingly this game has a bonus buy feature, not typically offered by Quickspin and we can see this version outside of UKGC restrictions being a huge hit! With players being able to buy up to three golden glyphs to begin with in the bonus as oppose to the usual one from winning the feature. With all this considered we give Golden Glyph 2 our Genius Gambling Rating of 7.5 out of 10 for UKGC restricted audiences and 8 out of 10 for non UKGC restricted players.
